It's been a nice past few days. I've had a great time shopping for christmas gifts. I've taken a bit of risk; there's no room in my budget for emergencies or surprises, but when my paycheck hits on 1/1, I should be fine using it to cover rent and court fines. It's just... too novel, being able to do this. 2 or 3 christmases have gone by where I've had little or no ability to participate. I'm pretty sure I've gotten appropriate and non-redundant stuff. The only thing that sucks about this is ensuring that I haven't made any glaring omissions among my friends or family. I've made a list and checked it twice, but I keep having to add people. I don't have much time left to get it straight.

Had some great times at a party, had some exciting times hanging out with a friend the day after. Had some tasty tacos, had some pleasant booze.

I ran some very fun D&D - the one combat we had was not terribly special, mechanically, but very silly and fun with the play-by-play. (Imagine three guys trying hard to fight their enemies while an "ally" of theirs is pissing things off, getting ensnared in a sort of Tar Baby and soon after that, attempting to rescue a "damsel" in "distress"... all the while an actual fight is raging on around him.) After that, I had time to set up and foreshadow the next few sessions with some good wind-down roleplaying. I think a small-group setting is really helping me round out my DMing skill, hopefully to the benefit of other campaigns that I run, such as Wildlands.

I've been remembering to exercise pretty regularly, which has felt great. I am sore as HELL today, but it's a good sore. Now I just gotta clean my room and finish up some of those christmas presents... oughta occupy the next 6 hours just fine.

It's been a long time since I cared enough about my LJ to clean up my friendslist. In addition, I was trying so hard to swing away from being a deceitful person that I'd decided everything should be public and I should be an open book. Some minor discretion is worthwhile, however, and my life is actually important enough to me that I am starting to manage and control it in some places, for a change.

I also liked to keep everyone around so that I could look through my friendslist and fondly remember people I hadn't talked to in awhile. So, without further ado, I'm posting the names of everyone I'm removing so that I can later revisit the list and cherish the memories.

Good riddance to:
pixy_princess, poorernie
You were users and losers, who compensated for your own unhappiness by feeding off of me or taking things out on me. Four years of high school was enough time spent putting up with it for scraps of attention; stop trying to get in contact with me every time you get bored, lonely, or have alienated too many of your current friends. Pat, everything hurtful I said or did to you I learned from those two. That doesn't make it right, but it's part of me attempting to assure you that I never meant you harm, and I'm sorry.

A fond farewell to:
beer_there/tanuki_chan,
drank_that/wingsofchapelle,
brandelyn/clerkenwell/dollarnaire/ladyjuly,
eccentricloafer, inagawayuu,
ithinkilovehim, jadesabre,
kerrick, kissmecassius,
lilnekochan, tdkbassoon, and zalemm.
Many of you have deleted your LJs and moved on, others have simply gone quiet. If I've misjudged and shouldn't have removed you, let me know. I relish the conversations we had; each one holds the kernels of new revelations via hindsight, and/or cheerful day-brighteners.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In November I signed my organ donor card (28 points). In May I bought porn for [info]pikapicokitt (-10 points). In June [info]railstar and I robbed a bank (-50 points). In September I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points). Last week I invaded Iraq, broke it, and couldn't glue it back together before Mom got home (-1012 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-1025 points). For Christmas I deserve a lump of coal!

Sincerely,
njordsifusansoo

To Do:
Stop wasting my time on youtube, webcomics, and see a few of the (according to friends) Really Good Movies that I haven't seen.

Starting with, in order:
Gosford Park
Brick
Reservoir Dogs
Man On Wire
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Taxi to the Dark Side

Other recommendations welcome, even if it takes me all year to get around to em.

Also I'd be happy to watch these, with you people, if there's something I put on the list that you want to see.

NINJA ASSASSIN!!!

As a friend of mine would put it (Yes you Jeff)

There is no better way to die, then by a ninja!

This movie proves that. It is a bloody action flick (like gallons and gallons of blood... very anime style) with a very slim story and metric fuck tons of ninja martial arts and all around ninja badassery!

If you like shallow action flicks that put all the money into *ACTION!*, then Ninja Assassin is the movie to watch.

I am still geeking out over it!!!

x Jeremy M.

If you have my phone number, please send me a text that includes your name. I am on a new phone and it's getting really annoying to always be missing the phone number I need. Gotta rebuild my address book.
